The lucrative 3-year deal is worth an annual amount of $82,000 with both SLFA and MAFRO agreeing on profit sharing.

MAFRO SPORTS is also the company sponsoring the Kenyan, Zambian, Zimbabwean national teams among others.
In a press statement, the president of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Madam Isha Johansen said: “I want every Sierra Leonean to own and be a stakeholder in the national team, she added that the deal will create marketing opportunities and empowerment both locally and internationally”.

On Friday June 9th, President Ernest Bai Koroma received the SLFA president, Madam Isha Johansen and the Minister of Sports Hon. Ahmed Khanou at the State House for the presentation of the newly contracted national team kits. His Excellency, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma who is also a dedicated football fan is also expected to attend Saturday June 10th African Nations cup qualifier between the Harambee Stars of Kenya and the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone. The whole country is optimistic for the three points as Leone Stars last appearance at the AFCONS was in 1996.
