Ambassador Anthony Navo Receives Global Leadership Award from Disabled International Foundation

Ambassador Anthony Navo, President and Chief Executive Officer of Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire, has received a prestigious International Leadership Award from the Disabled International Foundation (DIF) UK/Sierra Leone. The honour was presented as part of DIF’s 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee International Leadership and Social Impact Awards, celebrating individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and positive national impact.

The award recognises Ambassador Navo’s contribution to business leadership, enterprise growth and youth employment, particularly within Sierra Leone’s media and creative industries. Under his direction, AYV Media has expanded significantly, strengthened its corporate structure and created employment opportunities for young professionals in broadcasting, digital media, advertising and content production.

Widely regarded as a forward-thinking entrepreneur, Ambassador Navo has promoted innovation driven business strategies and private-sector development while encouraging youth participation in the economy. His leadership highlights how media organisations can be both commercially successful and socially responsible.

Through investments in digital transformation, brand development and media infrastructure, AYV Media has played a key role in modernising Sierra Leone’s media landscape and setting standards for professionalism and sustainability in the industry.
During the award presentation, Dr. Imambay Kamara, Founder and President of the Disabled International Foundation, also announced the organisation’s official grand launch later this year, marking 26 years of humanitarian advocacy and institutional impact.
“This award recognises business leaders who combine enterprise growth with social responsibility and long-term national impact,” Dr. Kamara stated.

In his acceptance remarks, Ambassador Navo dedicated the award to the staff of AYV Media and to young entrepreneurs across Sierra Leone, reaffirming his commitment to job creation, skills development and sustainable private-sector growth.
