The Miss Sierra Leone Beauty Pageant is the only official pageant in Sierra Leone . It is a major part of our heritage, showcasing beauty and the Sierra Leonean vwoman. At the pageant, opportunity meets responsibility thereby revealing true womanhood
Miss Sierra Leone attracts young female participants who are great patriots for their country. In this regard, 16 young ladies from all the 16 districts are carefully selected after auditions for participation at the national pageant.
These outstanding young women will be judged on poise, intelligence, cultural values as well as beauty. The pageant is a merger of both traditional values and our modern way of life.
It will be the pleasure and an honour for any young Sierra Leonean lady with a dream to emerge as the queen. She will be the Ambassador’ portraying the true essence of the Sierra Leonean woman.
The Queen represents the highest of ideals: a combination of beauty, grace and intelligence; artistic and refined. Miss Sierra Leone 2016 held the Nation’s flag high and was recognised among the 1st twenty five Contestants out of a total of 120 during the December 2016 Miss World Pageant in the contest “ Beauty with a purpose “.
She serves as a role model to both young and old alike; a spokesperson using her title to educate millions of Sierra Leoneans on issues of importance to herself and the society.
The Miss Sierra Leone will continue to be an exceptional example of real womenfolk by representing her country on international platforms as a goodwill ambassador.
