AS COMMISSIONS OF INQUIRY STARTS ON TUESDAY 29TH JANUARY 2019, PRESIDENT BIO DECLARES A WEEK AMNESTY
Following the criminal enterprising Governance by the then President Koroma and cohorts, a situation which the Chairman of the Government Transition Team referred to as Egregious, the president in his wisdom has given a week amnesty to all past officials who were involved in corruption to return the monies or properties before the commencement of the commissions on Tuesday 29 January this year.
While addressing the people of Kono, President Bio said he was declaring the amnesty in order to prove his critics who said the commissions were a witch hunt or rather just targeting certain political parties wrong.
This action by President Bio has been referred to by many as the most generous offer one can give a criminal. In December last year, Interpol agreed to order the arrest of all Sierra Leonean Fugitives staying out of the country who may deny facing the commissions.
Now that the commissions are about to start on the 29, many issues are unfolding from the main opposition APC party. The former Vice President Victor Bockarie Foh has assured the nation on a national Television of disclosing all the secrets of his former boss ( Ernest Koroma). It is yet unclear whether the commission will summon him as one of the witnesses against his former boss.
Just yesterday another strong man in the APC Alpha Khan sends a signal of dissatisfaction over the APC party. It is very clear that his next move will be in line with the former Vice President Foh.
Last year, a former flagbearer aspirant of the same APC made a voice recording in which he indicted his party of corruption, regionalism and violence.
