“My name is Haja Tidankay Kallay, year 3 honours student of IPAM, University of Sierra Leone pursuing a degree in Procurement. I am a contestant for the Miss Tourism Sierra Leone Beauty Pageant.

I believe that being a beauty queen is not all about your appearance or your clothes, it’s all about how you can use your crown to make a difference in people’s lives whereby giving back to the society, making a difference in your country in a positive way as well as being a role model.

My love for humanity is unquestionable. Being raised by a single parent, I do believe that with the crown, it will enabled me to give a helping hand to the less privilege, society, the poor, homeless, orphans and disabled. This is a way to show appreciation to the community based on the supports that I received from other people during my trying times.

My fellow Sierra Leoneans, this is my call to you all in a bid to give me your supports as I embark on this journey to be crowned the next Miss Tourism Sierra Leone 2017…”
