The highest nominee (5) in the last year’s NEA Awards by Lake Productions, Morris Kamara, aka Mr. Violator, Wonder Boy, is set to release his first song done in his Madingo language, titled – ‘Ejoh’. He drops the classic video teaser on social media on Monday 9th July, 2018. The teaser went viral and had over 5,000 views on his Facebook page in 24 hours.

The song was recorded in the United States of America by Flexiology; and the video was also shot there by Magic Rowland.

According Morris, the word ‘Ejoh’ is a Madingo word, meaning ‘I’m sorry’ and it delivers a message of stopping domestic violence, usually perpetuated by men. He explains that maltreatment of wives by their husbands is common in our societies (especially by the rich). The songs advocates for such cruelty to be averted.

Asked why he chose to sing in his local language, Morris said he wanted to show his versatility in music and the love for his culture and tradition.

Morris is known for his classic videos. His video for the song ‘Happy’, won NEA 2017 award for best video. His latest video (Ejoh) is no exception. The video also stars one of Sierra Leone’s finest actress, Wendy Hancil Bangura and Saidu Kamara in the US.

The full video will be released on the 12th July, 2018.
