East End Lions To show Off Sierra Leone Premier League Trophy On Saturday

Champions of the just concluded Sierra Leone Premier League, East End Lions, will on Saturday, 27th July parade with their championship winning trophy starting at Shell, ending it at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown.
The “Killers” who went through the whole season without facing defeat winning thirteen (13), drawing eleven (11) and accumulating a total of 50 points in the process, would have their victory parade in celebration of the club’s twelfth (12) championship trophy in it history.
Highlighting preparations ahead of Saturday’s celebration, Chairman of East End Lions football club, ambassador Anthony Navo Jr says, the club’s executive has put every modality in place for a safe, peaceful and successful trophy parade. He said his executive is aware of the alarming rate of violence by young boys during large gatherings, and it’s in that case they have sought the full presence of security for a well protected and undisturbed parade.
“Security presence in a gathering of people is one paramount factor anyone must be aware of, and as a responsible club, we have put strong measures in place to see East End Lions fans from all over the country be well protected on that day”, the AYV Media empire CEO intimates.
He further informed that, the club is expecting the presence of every supporter of East End Lions across the four corners of the country to be part of Saturday’s celebration.
“Our fan clubs from all across the country have been alerted, ranging from, Bo, Kenema, Makeni, Kono and every other district in the provinces.
“Fans and sympathisers are expected to dress in their club attires on that day in celebrating our hard-earned glory”, he continued.
Mr Navo expressed joy to see East End Lions go through a league season “Invincible” in his first year as Chairman of the famous Killers.
“Its a dream come true for me to win a trophy as Chairman of this historic club”, he noted
“I believe we have the squad and financial power to win subsequent leagues.
According to the deputy media officer of East End Lions Football Club, Adikalie Kanu Kanu, the parade will start at Shell New Road in the far East at exactly 9:00 Am and ends at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in the afternoon.
